Dog Walking Service
After starting up the 1st day care centre, we soon acquired the need to also offer dog walking. Of course anyone is welcome to use the service, however it was initially set up for dogs unable to come to day care:
-
females in season
-
males who've reached a high testosterone level but are not yet booked in for / going to have 'the chop' etc
-
dogs who are trialled but not suitable for the day care environment
-
larger breeds whose exercise must be restricted
-
older dogs or dogs who are too tired from the day before at day care!
We offer a free consultation at your home initially to meet with you and your dog and discuss specific requirements. We offer solo & group walks (walking 3-4 dogs at a time max); using our van and local parks to exercise your fur babies.
As individuals and as a business, we are professional, trustworthy and reliable; caring for your dogs and homes as we would our own.
All of our pooches are assesed based on how well they travel, their re-call, socialability etc. At the owners request, we will excersize your dog off lead. We use a whistle & treats to maintain their attention; keeping them on lead for the first walk or 2, or until their walker feels they have gained a bond. There are 2 main Ruff Stuff walkers at the moment; myself Rosa, & Ellie. Our Head Assistant Paige is also trained to cover this role, (please see staff page).
We post pictures on our Facebook page daily so that you can see what your dog has been up to on his/her walk :)
