About us / The start..

   Ruff Stuff was founded by myself, Rosa Edwards, in 2013. I have been a dog, (and horse), owner for many years, and been involved with dog rescue & re-homing. After much research, I noticed the need for a canine day care service that could offer more stimulation than someone elses home. At the same time as applying for jobs online, I was brainstorming my vision of a dog 'school'.

   After several months of becoming redundant from my previous recruitment career, I decided to take the plunge and give my idea a try. Starting with very little funds, 1 bare field and a handful of flyers; I started Ruff Stuff in Nov. 2013 with sheer determination and built from there..

   For many people, although their dog is their pride and joy, with busy lives it's hard to give them all the attention and walks we'd like to. Therefore the initial idea was to care for customers dogs whilst they are at work. Of course after not long, I soon realised how fantastic the environment was to socialise & teach puppies, and integrate rescue dogs amongst other things.

   To date, we have 2 day care sites; both based on beautiful farm spaces. We of course have plenty of natural space including indoor, beds and toys. We also offer additional pick up / drop home services if required, and have a full dog walking service. 

   I have a great team of passionate staff & volunteers who are all happy to help and cater to your dogs' specific needs.
